 Thanks, that's reassuring.

The most attention we have ever received in our 595 has been on our 2 trips to S Wales; at least a dozen people coming over to admire it. Nobody in England has ever commented!.

Worried about ground clearance for my 595 when using car ferry ramps. The breakover angles can sometimes be severe. Anyone had any problems with this?.

I have standard leather seats in my 595 Turismo and have now driven 8000 miles. Longest journey was only 4 hours but always found them very comfortable. (I'm only 5 9)

Welcome to the club. Is your 595 the 190 bhp model?. I bought my 595 Turismo 2 months before the 190 upgrade came out (mine is 160). Had it 18 months and am still loving every drive, especially on Derbyshire B roads when there is no-one in front of me!.

I agree totally that we need a 6th gear for motorway cruising. It is not a relaxed drive at a constant 75 mph. I have standard seats and found them perfectly comfortable on a recent 5 hour trip. I would also like another "Soft" suspension setting for use on non main roads to soak up the increasing number of potholes.

My 3 month old Turismo suffered total failure of the gearbox and ended up stuck in neutral. Neded recovery to dealer who fitted complete new gearbox. This has been faultless since then, so hopefully your's will be too.

I'm intrigued!. My 595 Turismo is 5 months old, and I haven't found any glove boxes at all. It is an MTA though, and I believe the manual does have a cubby hole.

About the same space in the back!, but I wouldn't swap. Roadholding is light years better on the Turismo. Leather is so much nicer than plastic.

I would strongly advise following manufacture's advice and drive gently for 300 miles, then progressively upping the revs. Don't exceed 5000 until you have done 1500 miles.

My first car, in 1964, was a Fiat 500, and I always lusted after an Abarth. I love driving it, and a big factor was the rarity value. It is nearly always the only Abarth in the car park.

I say definitely yes. Refer to my post tonight on the MTA Gear Changes forum thread.

I've had my 595 Turismo for 12 weeks, and after running in gently for 1500 miles, have been driving a little more sportily. I find in normal driving there is no need to lift off. The MTA gearbox was jerky to start with, but has learnt to deliver smooth changes to match my driving style. When I'm in more of a hurry I just press the Sport button on the dash and keep my right foot planted, a real blast.
