DRLs blowing after a few months
« on: February 02, 2016, 08:59:41 PM »
Anybody else having this problem ? These bulbs only seem to last about 4 months. They gradually blacken and eventually fail. The N/S one went on Saturday and by Monday the O/S one had gone too ! Fortunately I'd stocked up with more than one replacement and had some fun changing them both this morning. Here's a tip- you'll find it a bit easier to do the offside one if you remove the air filter cover and push it to one side. Then you've got a bit more room to fiddle about trying to undo the bulb holder.

I can't say in all the years of owning 500's I've ever had one blow...
