General Chat / Re: Series 4 Comp scrapped by Abarth for new V2.0!

I'm sitting on the fence. Let's get this off our chests, so blab away.

Abarth 500, 595 & 695 / Re: Winter Tyres

Fitted Falken Eurowinter 205/45/17 tyres to my 595c Competizione today. 6 degrees at that time.

It is interesting to note that there is a price differential between 205/40/17 and 205/45/17 despite the latter using more rubber.

Initial impressions are good, it felt planted on the road and when it comes to the worst, it will be reassuring to know that I have enhanced traction.

My name is not on the list - yet.

Bought a ticket for this, so will look forward to Gaydon once again.

Vospers is the dealer who pays for a night at a local hotel.

I suggest you try Research and Johnsons.  I know they are rather far away but part of the package of buying a car is the miles involved!

Introductions / Re: New member Competizione ordered

It's about 12 weeks more or less.

My 595C Competizione order was placed at end of July 2015, and the car arrived early November.  Part of the delay was due to me specifying Podium Blue which did not avail until early September. Had I ordered Cordalo Red, I would have got it much earlier.

It's always fun waiting for your new arrival.

I will be there.

General Chat / Re: Now Have A Date Of Delivery

Sounds good, glad you now know when to take delivery.

It's a pity it won't be a Competizione but at least you will be getting the Series 4; it is due to be revealed next month.

I don't know why I missed this thread.

But please count me in.

A warm welcome here and congratuations on joining the Abarth family. Collection day will be sooner than you think, so use the time to research what you want on the new car, and also go to some meets to meet other Abarth owners for a chat.

Podium Blue has really caught on. It is sensational and even better when the sun is shining.

I run a 595c Competizione 180hp in Podium Blue - I initially wanted Cordolo Red but changed my mind when I worked out what Podium Blue really looked like - with grey Sabelts and black top. Titanium alloys with satin grey stripes. I could have gone for yellow callipiers but red has Ferrari-esque connections so...

It replaced Abarth no 3, a 595c Competizione 160hp. I waited 4 months for the new 595c.

4 months and 5000 miles in it. The Monza is flipping marvellous. Really delighted with it.

I hope you enjoy the new car.

Looks good, thank you for making this available at a discount through this forum.

I'm not in the market for that but I look forward to when you will be offering the interior package ie door cards, A B C pillars and dashboard top roll.

Your Abarth / Re: My New 500c - The New Company Car!

Cracking car and cracking idea to promote your business on it.

I had two 500c Bi-colours before - both black and white. I now run a Podium Blue 595c Competizione.

Being versed in graphics (that's my daily job) I did these a few years when I was on the 'other forum'. One of these pictures and a few more got deleted so not everyone got to see them.

Count me in please.

Excellent response everyone, some valid points, I still wouldn't buy one no matter how rich I were, but appreciate the sentiment, and are the plastic windows really 1750?

I'm afraid that is no misprint or typo error. If you want vertification, go to the Abarth configurator and spec up your 695 Biposto.

At least it is 5 less than last year...  :P

FFS its another 250 to not have electric windows, but plastic ones. Thought I would just kick the hornets nest!

You can kick the nest even more. The plastic windows with sliding panes are not 250 but 1775  ;D
