Well, avoid that product like the plague.

Emailed the supplier who advised fitting it without the black plastic insert.

Did this, tightened it up & it pulled the insert out of the OBD port & broke it.

Iím naturally unimpressed & Iím returning the £99.99 piece of junk.

Now need to repair the bloody port :([/img]|]|[/img]|]|

I just bought one of these for my Abarth 595 which are a current thieves favourite & easily stolen via the OBD Port.

The metal cap is heavy but getting it to stay firmly in place is impossible. The lightest of wiggles pulls it out.

Anyone had any joy fitting one? For £100 I was expecting perfection TBH.[/img]|]|[/img]|]|[/img]|]|

What happens if you have the performance pack with the mechanical lsd?

I had the unit in mine updated today. Took about 1/2 hour.

If youíre extremely disciplined & routined and no one else drives your car, booby trap the driverís seat.

I wonít go into details but it involves something sharp & barbed just inter the seat. Canít be seen but when body weight goes onto the foam, the perpetrator gets speared.

Even if the get out, youíve got an epic DNA  sample.

Quicker how? The official stats show it slower than a manual.......

It's slower than a manual to 60 simply because it's a fraction slower off the line as the clutch engages.
Once it's moving there's no way you're changing gear in a manual as quickly as the robotized gearbox does it. Not with any degree of mechanical sympathy anyway. It's rapid.

Itís the same gearbox & the same shifter system. Clutch is the same. No gearstick or clutch pedal.

Are you saying the MTA doesnít have any mechanical sympathy then? Thatís hardly a selling point.

Clutch pedals are SOOOO last century and have no place in a modern car.
The paddleshift on the MTA box is an absolute delight to use - positive & meaty in gear selection,  and is also quicker than a manual.

When you get stuck in traffic you won't end up with an aching left foot.

Wait it out - get what you want.

If you do any distance in your car then make sure you take the Comp on an extended test drive.
The Sabelt seats are horrifically uncomfortable on anything other than the shortest journeys or on the smoothest of roads.

A second no theyíre not!

Iím 5í11Ē and a chunk of a bloke.  Iíve got a knackered back (several operations) & a severe form of arthritis.

My carbon backed part leather Sabelts are excellent :)

On the newest Comps, dealer just fits the fuel cap & filter.

I spotted the cap on collection.  The fitted that for me & gave me an oil cap gratis.

I suspect they forgot the filter, so I've asked!

There was no BMC badge so I bought one but re-reading what I've attached got me thinking!

Our dealer missed the fuel cap and air filter, both have been retro fitted at no cost on the XSR. With any luck your dealer should do the same for your filter.

Guess what? No BMC fitted by the dealer :(

They've posted me the kit though.

Not great though.
