Hi JN

You will get various responses to this I imagine but I took it very easy for the first 1000 miles, sport button was not touched until then.

No real reason for any of this, I just felt comfortable putting some miles on the clock before really giving her some stick.

P.S The sport button is on 24/7 now and has been ever since I first switched it on  :) :)

Enjoy

John

Hi Colin

There is a monthly meet on the 1st Thursday of the month (tonight  :) ) at the Halfway House, Brentwood CM13 3LL

Normally have about 20 Abarths there, good pub food available and runs from about 6pm till 10pm. They are a friendly bunch as well  :)

Thanks for the warm welcome Neil, I think I'll pic up the oil cap too.
It's a hatch, but I don't know the number yet. I'll report back on that after collection.

I'll take some pics and put up an intro post later.

Have a great day  :) I look forward to the pics later

I bought mine from TMC a while back and had to return them as they were left hand drive.

I would guess the seller knows this so try and return them as not road legal in this country.

Good luck!

Hi everyone,  just a quick update to this post, I went for a test drive last Saturday,  and I really enjoyed it, the performance compared to the Type r was obviously less (more the mid range rather than the initial acceleration ) but the ride wasn't any harder, and I really liked the way it looked and sounded, so I have ordered one, hopefully the idiot brigade that put me off my Honda will dissappear with no more tailgating for me.
I bought a Modena yellow with performance pack, 7 inch nav, carbon dash, Beats sound system, Bi xenon headlights, and day/ night electrochemic rear view mirror, I think that's it.
Before its too  late does anyone else think I should order anything else that you can't do without?.
The worst news is its an eight to ten week wait.

Hi SusieSue

The only thing I wish I had on my car is a sunroof...........don't know how expensive it is as an option?

Hopefully the weeks will fly by  :)

South East Owners / Festival Italia convoy
« on: August 09, 2017, 10:32:42 AM »
Hi all

Anybody going to Festival Italia on Sunday want to join our convoy to Brands Hatch? There have been various posts on Facebook but I know some of you are not on there.

I am meeting a few at Maidstone services on the M20 at 7am to leave by 7.10 at the latest, we are then meeting up with others at The Moat pub/restaurant on the A20 (London Rd, Wrotham, Sevenoaks TN15 7RR) at about 7.30ish.

When we arrive at the circuit those that are allocated to be parking with the AOC will be directed to their parking area and those that are general Italian parking will be directing accordingly but it would be nice to all arrive together  :)

Please comment on the post below if you want to meet at either location so we can gauge numbers and who we should be expecting

Thank you
John

Hi Colin

Do you know where we will be parked? The ramp to the car park at Auto Italia was not accessible for some us? We were sent elsewhere as we were too low  :(

Hopefully this will not be the case here?

John
Too early tell at present, John. This event is nothing like as busy as the April one, and they do not use the area where we were allocated then, so there should be no problems. Last year we were on the approach to the banking, the year before we at the bottom of the hill by the entrance.

This all sounds good, I've not been to this event before so I think I need to make the effort.

Hi
Thank you for the welcome, the number of the hatchback 695 XSR is 251. I did show it of to my son last night and did give in and let him have a drive,
the grin on his face when we stopped said it all. ;D
I am going to try and go to a meet  on Sunday  at Detling Hill  (just down the road from me) looking forward to meeting everyone there.
Earl

Hi Earl

I've arranged the detling hill meet. It's at Bangers café from 9am to 11.30am, looks like they do a nice fry up if that's your thing?

Be good to see you there.

21 confirmed attendees at the moment

John
