New Car/Boost Gauge
« on: October 29, 2017, 02:33:27 PM »
Hi all, first post here. We are about to buy a 595 Competizione but my wife is a bit shorter than me and the boost gauge is right in her line of vision is there a decent way to remove it or relocate as per the EU cars. Cheers

She must be short.... It's not that much higher than the instrument binnacle?!

Really no, you can't locate it without having a hole in your dash and re-routing the wiring etc which is going to be a big job sadly.

I'd try to get her to try and at least get used to it and leave moving it as a complete last resort.

Hi, welcome to the Forum, as overboost has stated itís not something weíve seen here converting to the European left hand drive option where the boost gauge sits much lower. You can remove the boost gauge as itís only an electrical lead under it, and Iím sure there is a Ďplugí available to fill the gap.  The Turismo and entry cars have the standard sports seats (as do some Comps which have been specíd with them) which have the height adjustment option so that may help. From recollection the Sabelts in the Comp donít change (others may quickly shoot me down here and state otherwise), A

Hi and welcome .....
Check  the  Abarth Configurator ..... On the 595 Comp , if you add leather seats there are options giving height adjustable drivers seats.
Hope this helps.
Neil.

Cheers Guys, I was hoping it was a simple electrical connection rather than a proper vacuum operated Gauge. Does anyone have a source for the "dash plug".

Maybe not ideal but could always try a cushion  :) certainly the cheaper option!

The car is ordered lol, the gauge was less of a problem on a second test drive.
