<image:title>Events - Silverstone Classics - Sliverstone Classics</image:title>
<image:caption>Provisional dates have been announced, as Friday 30 July to Sunday 1 August. These will be confirmed only when the FIA confirm the Formula 1 calendar for 2021, something which usually happens in early December (and the announced dates are usually simply ratified). Abarth Owners Club's booking of a Car Club display area has been carried forward from 2020. Those of you who bought tickets for the 2020 event and who did not ask for a refund will automatically be carried forward to 2021, and if you are in this category, there is nothing further you need to do. Those who do not have tickets can now buy them, with the lowest prices on offer for a limited period of time. To do so, you need to go to the event's own website. www.silverstoneclassic.com/tickets. To take advantage of the Car Club deal, which effectively halves the cost by offering you tickets on a 2 for 1 deal, you need to scroll down to the Car Club Display options. You will need the AOC-specific code, which is as it was in 2020, namely 2020CCD043. You will need to add this in the promotional code box just prior to the ‘PAY NOW’ button, which should halve the cost of your tickets. The best deal is for a 3-day ticket which is currently priced at £105, which gives you admission for 2 adults and a Car Club parking pass. You can select other options for 1, or 2 days. There is so much to see, both as static displays from the Car Clubs, as well as full access to both paddocks and an amazing array of races that 1 day is far from enough to take it all in, so I really do encourage you to try to allocate more time than this if you possibly car. The Saturday is usually the busiest day with the largest Car Club displays, but even the Friday feels like a full event, with more than enough to see. We can't promise that we will manage to secure a parade lap again, but we will of course try. We won't know if we've been successful and if we have, on which day it would be until around next April/May. Note that Car Club ticket sales will end on 31st May. The organisers have stated that if Covid restrictions preclude the running of this event, then they will of course issue full refunds or allow people to carry their tickets forward to 2022. Let's hope that it does not come to this!</image:caption>

<image:title>Events - Auto Italia - Auto Italia 2021</image:title>
<image:caption>We were all disappointed that the largest gathering of Italian cars in the UK, the Brooklands Auto Italia event, could not take place at all in 2020. And with large gatherings not currently permitted, the initial plans for 2021 looked imperilled, too. However, Phil and Michael Ward have agreed a new date with the venue and are optimistic that a full-scale event will be possible. Clearly, we won't know for sure for a while yet. Please hold Sunday (yes, this year the event will be on a Sunday) July 18th in your diaries for the 2021 Brooklands Auto Italia. All tickets will need to be purchased in advance, which will also have the advantage of speeding up entrance on the day. As soon as they are available, I will post an update here to advise, along with the process for anyone who still holds a 2020 ticket that they were unable to use</image:caption>

<image:title>Events - Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia - Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia</image:title>
<image:caption>We've been invited to participate in the Shelsley Walsh Classic Nostalgia weekend, with an Abarth Owners Club presence among the Car Club displays. Those of you who've been to Shelsley will know what a delightful location this is, set in the Teme Valley, and home to the oldest motorsport venue in the UK. Core to the location is the Hill Climb, and whilst we won't be able to do that, you will get excellent view of the cars that are rushing up the hill as there is excellent hill-side viewing all the way up. There will be a lot more than that to take in during the event, though. 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of this popular annual event, which features a spectacular blend of competitive action on the famous hillclimb, demonstration runs, classic-car displays, trade stands and vintage-themed entertainment. What's on... •Full weekend of action at Shelsley Walsh, both on and off the hill •Colin McRae and Richard Burns tributes in a rally spectacular •Classic & Sports Car Concours d’Elegance with a huge and diverse array of classics expected •Extensive Car Club displays •Live music and entertainment in the Courtyard In case that's not enough, there will be a fashion competition for the best and most authentic vintage outfit, and trade stands selling everything from clothing and accessories to motoring books, models, art, photography and memorabilia. Contemporary British artist Ian Cook of Pop Bang Colour will be painting live, too. Ian is renowned for creating artwork using radio-controlled cars, car tyres and toy car wheels. And for those who want to be a bit more active, you can get your dancing shoes on for a right party in the Courtyard with main stage interviews and live bands throughout the weekend including the ever-popular Jon Clare and the Fabulous Dough Boys who will performing hits from the 1950’s and 1960’s to modern classics. More details of the event and information on how to book can be found here: https://www.classicnostalgia.co.uk/carclubs Note: The event organisers will have all necessary precautions in place to safeguard visitors and will fully comply with the UK Government and Public Health England guidelines at the time. The details of the measures will be communicated nearer to the event date. If the event has to be cancelled due to coronavirus, your tickets will automatically be valid for the following year, unless a refund is requested within 30 days of the event cancellation. <image:title>Events - Thruxton Historic - Thruxton Historic</image:title>
<image:caption>We are delighted to announce that, in conjunction with our friends at AOC Surrey Sussex and Hampshire (SSH), we have successfully applied for a Club presence at the 2021 Thurxton Historic Festival. A new event to the calendar in 2019, the event was fortunate to be able to run in 2020 when it was one of the first to take place after Lockdown restrictions eased. With dates for the 2021 event set for the 12th and 13th June it looks as if that is going to be the case in 2021, as well. Those who attended in 2020 enjoyed a great day out, and we had an absolutely fantastic dedicated parking area on the banking on the outside of the circuit, right opposite the exit to the pits, giving outstanding views of the track. Even better, AOC and AOC SSH members can acquire tickets for a 50% discount off the on the day price. This will include a free club display vehicle pass. To take advantage of this offer, please visit the dedicated car club ticket booking page via this link https://thruxtonracing.co.uk/tx-hist-car-clubs-2021 and use the club discount code members which is AOC212HT Scroll down, select a ticket type and click ‘ADD TO BASKET’ Adjust the quantity required (to add a different ticket type go back one page) Enter code AOC212HT in the DISCOUNT CODE field (bottom left of the basket) click APPLY Repeat to apply the discount to each ticket type on the order Please check the total before clicking PROCEED TO CHECKOUT Please note one vehicle only can be booked in for a free vehicle display pass when purchasing the driver and any passenger tickets. If a second vehicle needs to be added they will need to place a separate order for that vehicle and its driver. Club ticket sales close at 2pm Monday 7th June (subject to availability). Tickets and display vehicle passes will be sent to club members by first class post on or before this date. Following the recent Government announcement of the roadmap out of lockdown, tickets will be sold in advance only and visitor numbers will be capped. Club displays will once again be on the banking and grass areas in the outfield and our allocated club area will be signposted. Event information and latest news can be found here https://thruxtonracing.co.uk/racing/historic Of course, there has to be a caveat that this all subject to Government and Motorsport UK regulations in force at the time. However under the organisers "Buy with Confidence" guarantee, should the circuit be unable to admit spectators, ticket buyers will have the option to transfer their tickets or request a full refund.</image:caption>

<image:title>Testimonials</image:title>
<image:caption>Ihave always been into cars, always worked on cars, not always fast cars although I had aspirations. My brothers ran a hotrod team, when the likes of Barry Lee was the top driver, so I suppose it fuelled my passion for cars. Now heading fast into my 50's, my passion for cars has most likely turned into a mid life crisis. However, a test drive in an Abarth 595 at Thames Abarth was an eye opener, actually, it was bloody brilliant & it took a week to get the grin of my face! I just applied for a loan on the Monday, went & brought my Abarth on the Saturday. My first interaction with fellow Abarthests was at the Ace Cafe in the summer of 2016, I thought, what a great bunch of people, this is exactly what I need. I now have a nippy car, that I love, a car I can make my own and a club that gives you that extra sense of belonging. So I just want to say, a big thank you to AOC for all you have done & all you continue to do.Finally, a big thank you to everyone who helps to set up events and gives great advice to DIY owners like me. — Mark H.</image:caption>

<image:title>Testimonials - Been here with the AOC for 6 months or so now, brilliant club and brilliant helpful people in it, I literally knew nothing about modifications or what was even possible with these little rockets. <image:caption>I wanted an Abarth since I saw one on its debut at the Festival of Speed over a decade ago. I’ve owned three in the past seven years and been a member of the AOC for the past five. It’s a great club with members who have a passion for the brand and the brand heritage and are generous on their knowledge and parts exchange. We all have different tastes in cars and life but have a common love for the scorpion and a respect for each other. From the smallest meet to the largest gathering, you’ll hear us coming and see us smiling. —Simon I-H.</image:caption>

<image:title>Testimonials - I’ve been around Abarth Since 2011. Abarth Owners Club arrived and provided us with great events. I’ve met some great people (and some real fools) but generally, with the fantastic knowledge and entheusiasm of Colin Rear, who is a 110% petrolhead, and for his ability to "get the events sorted" a big well done! Not to mention Bertie Bryant who shares a huge passion for the Scorpion. He gets the people together, provides superb back of house stuff, great videos, and lovely merchandise! <image:title>Testimonials - I caught the Abarth bug after my 2nd year looking around the amazing Abarth at AutoItalia in 2016. The same week found myself in the dealership in Croydon. And after a test drive I was ordering my first Abarth 595c Turismo in Podium Blue. Since then I have been an active member of the Abarth Owners Club and last year travelled to Milan for Abarth Days 2019, where FCA launched the new 695 70th Anniversary. I wasn't keen on the Heritage Green, but found out that they were producing 4 other colours and a few weeks later I ordered my new 695 in Podium Blue which arrived in January this year. Well to say it brings a smile to my face every time I turn the key is an understatement!. Thanks to Bertie and Colin for introducing me to this great brand and to StefAB for your great video content. I have also met some great friends and always a joy to talk to new members at club events.</image:title>

<image:caption>I didn't know much about these cars when I bought mine. I still don't know much, but I have learned quite a bit thanks to this wonderful group. I am a US Abarth owner, and with most members being elsewhere in the world, it gives you a sense of a much larger group of enthusiasts. The AOC made me love my Abarth so much more, especially considering most people in the US don't even know what an Abarth is and pass you over as if you're in a normal 500. <image:caption>I’ve been a member of the AOC since 2015 and from the off it was the place to be. Following the help and advice I’ve received within the community. It put me in good stead during my Abarth ownership. Here we are years later onto my 3rd Abarth and currently running Abarth Club North East. I’ve got nothing but good to say about the AOC and would recommend any owner to join up and be part of a great group representing the UK. Here’s to many more years being involved and hopefully another Abarth. — Ross J. (Founder of Abarth Club North East)</image:caption>

<image:title>Testimonials - I’ve had 2 Abarths 3 years apart, came straight back to the group knowing that I would feel very much at home when I acquired my Trofeo. The community is incredible and the team are just as great. One of the scariest thoughts about one day not owning an Abarth is the idea of not being part of the group so much! <image:caption>Hi, I thought it was about time I joined the best car club in Europe. I bought my Turismo 2 years ago, without ever driving an Abarth. I have driven plenty of 500s as hire cars so I knew one with over double the power was going to be a blast. I still love it and it puts a smile on my face every journey. It has all the qualities of the 80s hot hatches with a modern interior and decent brakes. I live in the Lago Maggiore region of Italy and the car gets a nod of approval from the locals, young and old, just before they climb into their German cars! —Winston B.</image:caption>

I went to my first meet a few weeks ago and was so inspired by the community and Bertie was a inspiration so much so I’ve started our own club with two friends I met, and thats down the experience I've had with AOC and the help given by Bertie. I myself and the club cannot thank the AOC for all the help given its so nice to be apart of AOC where it the first time I felt I belong. Alongside racing, the company started to produce tuning kits that improved performance, power and speed of standard vehicles.
